Coach Rachel started playing soccer when she was four years old. She played at the highest level of club here in Southern California, playing premier soccer for local clubs. She was a four year Varsity starter for Mission Viejo High School where she won CIF and a league title her Sophomore year. Coach Rachel also played soccer at the University of California, Irvine where she captained the team her senior year. After graduating with a B.A. in Sociology from UCI, she played semi-professional soccer for the Los Angeles Strikers in the W-League until she suffered a severe knee injury in early 2013.
Coach Rachel has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. Rachel is a coach at UC Irvine and spent four years as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Marymount California University where she doubled as the strength and conditioning coach. In 2015 she worked with US Soccer as a physiologist during several youth camps on women’s side. Her husband Kyle also coaches, he is the assistant men’s soccer coach at Cal State University Fullerton.
Coach Rachel is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and the USSF National “C” License.
