Biography

Gerardo has been playing soccer for many years and has experienced great success. As a youth, he played for local club teams; where he reached the Cal South National Cup finals four times. In addition, reached the CIF finals and State Quarterfinals with his High School team, Millikan HS. As for collegiate soccer, Gerardo played two years at Santa Ana College and later transferred to Hope International University (HIU). While in his Junior year at HIU he lead the team, as the Captain, to its first ever regular season conference Championship in 2014. Also played at the semi-pro level for 4 consecutive years, two with LA blues(USL-PDL) and two with Southern California Seahorses(USL-PDL).

Gerardo began coaching with the Fullerton Rangers in 2017.  Along with coaching at various clubs previously, Gerardo has also coached at La Habra HS, where he was the boys’ Varsity Assistant Coach for two years. He currently works at Hope International University, where he is an Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s programs. Along with that, he is also an assistant for Fullerton College Women’s soccer program; plus, the Head Coach for Whittier Christian HS girls’ Varsity team.

Gerardo has a B.A in Business Management and is currently pursuing his Masters in Kinesiology. He lives with his family in Long Beach.
