Congratulations to the BU19 Rangers team for a successful 2015 season. This Rangers team moved from a BU15 Signature team in 2013 directly into the Cal South Intercity program as a U19 team comprised of mostly U16 players. After making adjustments from their intial season, the 2015 true U17 team racked up an impressive 6-4 record; 29 GF and 22GA with 1 shut-out, finishing 2nd place in regular season. Having qualified in the top 4 spots, BU19 Rangers went on to win the Semi-Finals against OJSC's Arsenal team 5-1, after having won 4-0 and lost 1-5 in regular season play. Moving into the Finals against La Mirada's BU19-Lawrence was no different story. Having won 2-1 and lost 2-5 in regular season play, the Finals went 0-0 at half. In the 5th minute of the second half, a penalty was awarded to La Mirada for tripping in the box. Less than 10 minutes later, a penalty was awarded to Fullerton for a hand ball in the box. Tied 1-1 with 10 minutes to go, a cross into the box was headed on frame, hit the woodwork, bounced off the keeper in retreat only to deflect into the goal. Rangers pressured the remaining 10 minutes moving from 4-4-2 to 3-4-3 but was unsuccessful in converting the final ball. Overall a great season and future for these boys!
