History is made! Rangers send two girls to the U15 Women's National Team

History has been made once again in Rangers-land!  Not just one, but TWO of our Rangers girls have been called up to the U.S. U-15 Girls’ National Team training camp this coming week in Carson, California.

Congratulations to Faith and Paige Hopper of the G01 White team.

Of the 31 players that were called up to the US U-15 Girls’ National Team camp, Faith and Paige will be 2 of 12 defenders selected from across the nation and 2 of 5 girls that were selected from the 2002 age group.  This age group will form the core of the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The “twins”, which they are more commonly known as, started with the Rangers since they were 7 years old on the GU9 Bronze team headed by Coach Jeremy Brownell.  Year after year they have played an integral part in the success of the G01 White team from winning league, league cup, and various tournaments to making Rangers history by being part of the first Rangers girls’ team to make it to Regional Championships last year in New Mexico under the guidance of Coach Sage Moore.  Faith and Paige were also recently selected as representatives of the Girls 2002 ODP (Olympic Development Program) team that won the Championship against other Region IV ODP teams in Phoenix, Arizona this past January.   Due to their stellar performance at the Region IV ODP Championships, both Faith and Paige were selected as part of the top 18 players of the 2002 age group for all of Region IV.
